The winners of this Learners Y Factor 2008 was Radstock Primary School!
Learners Y Factor with Johnny BallYoung learners presented the work where they are doing something innovative, different and interesting that gives their learning the “Y” factor. They shared their stories with a large audience and entered this fun game where the final was held in London on Monday 13th October as part of the Handheld Learning Conference 2008. In association with Becta's "Next Generation Learning" initiative, Learners Y Factor was an opportunity to showcase the innovation and ingenuity being demonstrated amongst young learners using mobile or ubiquitous technologies in their learning. It's all about the fun of learning in new and exciting ways. Winners won prizes including game consoles, computers and mp3 players. Entries were from individuals or teams of up to 4 members and aged between 6 and 16 years by October 2008.
This years contestants were: Schome Park - a closed island in the virtual world of Second Life® (link) It was a fabulous afternoon with fun for all! |
