The conference, now in its fourth year, explores how technologies
that are becoming common place in the lives of young people are
also being used for powerful learning experiences both in and outside
of the educational establishment. These technologies range from
mobile phones to games consoles, netbooks to media players, social
media platforms to media sharing networks and much more in a world
where learners are becoming increasingly connected and mobile.
We're delighted to announce that T-Mobile have joined Nintendo and
Apple as one of this years main conference sponsors, RM Plc will
be hosting a breakout session featuring case studies using their
miniBook devices and Channel 4 will be this years media sponsor.

New speakers have come on board for what has become the "must-attend"
event for learning including Laurie O'Donnell, Director of Learning
and Technology, LTS, Marc Prensky, writer, David Whyley, Learning2Go,
Wolverhampton, Dr Kyle Dickson, Abilene Christian University, Texas,
Matt Locke, Commissioning Editor - Education, Channel 4, Richard
Warmsley, Head of Beyond Voice, T-Mobile and many more to be announced
shortly. Check the programme.
Industry leaders Apple, RM, Samsung, Steljes, Toshiba, Sanako, Wildkey,
PC World Education, Nintendo, Koch Media, mLearning and Fourier
Systems join leading organisations Becta, Childnet International,
Futurelab and the e-Learning Foundation in the exhibition.
For the first time the opening
day of the conference and exhibition is open to the general
public and free to attend with lots to see and do. The theme of
the day is "Next Generation Learning" with presentations
by Becta as well as students and teachers who will be taking part
in the "Learners
Y Factor" and "Teachers
in the Den" games where they are invited to present their
innovative learning and teaching ideas and practice. In the evening
will be the Handheld
Learning Awards which if you haven't already made a nomination
then you should do so now!
Johnny Ball is our compere for both the "Learners Y Factor"
and the Awards which promise to be an enjoyable celebration of people
rather than products, a great opportunity to mingle, socialise,
network and have fun. Entry to the Awards Party is included in delegate
registration. Bonus!
Come and join us, we look forward to seeing you!
