mLearn (click here for mobile version), the world's flagship mobile learning research conference, will take place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge in Shropshire, England in October 2008, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

The conference started in Birmingham in 2002 and has since taken place in London, Rome, Cape Town, Banff and Melbourne.

The aims of the conference are to bring together the world's leading mobile learning researchers, developers and activists in an environment that will explore diverse accounts of mobile learning research, stimulate significantly increased deployment of mobile learning and catalyse dramatically enhanced innovation, experience and evidence.

The conference dates are: Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th October 2008, preceded by a day of workshops on Tuesday 7 October 2008.
