Nominations are invited for the Handheld Learning and Innovation Awards that we are introducing this year to celebrate those practitioners, learners and participants who have excelled in the use of emerging technologies for improved learning and teaching. There are four categories plus a special award
Within each category there are two awards
The Special Achievement Award is for the person or organisation that has, in the opinion of the judges and community, made a significant contribution to support improved learning with mobile and ubiquitous technologies. The last date for nominations has now been extended to August 15th after which, entries will be shortlisted. Nominees may be contacted for further information. In some cases a request to visit by judges may be made. The Judges will be announced by August 31st. The Finalists will be announced by September 19th. Winners will be announced at an evening awards party on Monday 13th October.  All conference delegates, as part of their registration, will have free access to the party which will include drinks and snack's, a live blues and jazz jam (so all musicians out there be prepared to "collaborate"), gaming competitions with large screen projections, socialising, networking and the 9 awards presented by none other than Johnny Ball!
